As a youth Ann was inspired by the beauty of Northern California's natural landscapes. Her early paintings, many of them murals, were imaginary scenes of pristine nature. She has traveled to many archaeological sites and natural wonders, painting, sketching and exploring the manifestations of nature enveloping and permeating civilizations.
Ann taught art classes at the Chico Art Center for five years, where she also studied painting with Anne Pierce and Salvatore Casa. She worked in scenography, portraiture, curating, gallery docenting and hosting workshops. She improved her drawing skills with Betty Edward's 'Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain,' and now enjoys painting full time.

Ten of Ann's recent paintings await publication in Dr. Christof Koch's new book 'Consciousness - Confessions of a Romantic Reductionist.'
Another recent collaboration with Dr. Erik Winfree depicts scientific concepts and processes such as life's mineral origins, molecular programming, neurosystems, mechanics, nanotechnology and more, as practised at Caltech's Winfree Laboratory. Her paintings have been featured at the Chico Museum, in a lucid dreaming documentary, and on PBS.
Ann won the 2007 Los Angeles Open Call Award, and the 1998 Peoples' Choice Award at A Taste of Chico.
