Growing up in Northern California, Ann Erpino was inspired by a variety of pristine natural landscapes. She enjoyed painting imaginary scenes of nature. After earning a bachelor's degree in Fine Art at U.C. Berkeley, she traveled to archaeological sites and natural wonders collecting inspirations and references for her paintings. Ann taught art classes for five years, and worked as a scenographic artist, mural painter, portraitist, curator, workshop organizer, and docent before becoming a full time painter in 2001. Having a background in sciences, especially in quantum physics, Ann is finishing several paintings commissioned by scientists interpreting nanotechnology, molecular programming, consciousness, life's mineral origins, mechanics and more. Ann won the Los Angeles 2007 Open Call Award, and the Peoples' Choice Award at Juried International Exhibition, A Taste of Chico. Her work belongs to collectors worldwide. |
