Experience in the World
Animals, like humans, are sentient beings. They experience the world and have feelings. What they experience depends upon their sensorium and the complexity of their brain. The biggest difference between us and other creatures is language, and our elaborate representations of self that allow us to project our conscious thoughts into the past, and into possible futures. |
